Healthy Estuaries WA, in collaboration with local catchment groups, is inviting community members to come along to annual community estuary science forums across the South West and South Coast this November 2025.
These free events are a great opportunity for locals to:
- Hear directly from the scientists assessing the water quality and condition of the estuary
- Learn about local projects that are working to improve estuary health
- Discover how you can get involved in citizen science and stewardship initiatives
- Celebrate the achievements of our community and partners in protecting our waterways
This year’s forums are especially exciting as we continue to build on the momentum of our eight-year program and look ahead to new opportunities with extended funding.
Whether you’re a long-time supporter or a new estuary enthusiast, we welcome everyone who cares about the health of our rivers and estuaries. From fertiliser management and water quality monitoring to farmer collaboration and citizen science, there’s something for everyone!

Event dates:
- Wednesday 19 November – Wilson Inlet / Nullaki in Denmark with Wilson Inlet Catchment Committee
- Thursday 20 November – Bindjareb Djilba / Peel-Harvey estuary in Mandurah with PHCC
- Tuesday 25 November – Leschenault Estuary in Bunbury with Leschenault Catchment Committee
